TOYO Printing Inks shared their important analyses and predictions about the sector with us at the KASAD (Cardboard Packaging Manufacturers Association) event held at Swissotel The Bosphorus on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.
TOYO Printing Inks CEO Yakup Benli stated that sustainability practices in packaging production are increasing and that paper-cardboard packaging is advantageous in this area. They stated that their sustainability goals are to contribute to sustainability with all products and services offered, to minimize the environmental impact of production and to be a company that can contribute to the development of sustainability in society. They stated that they are developing new technologies to comply with sustainability and hygiene standards. Environmentally friendly inks, water-based and low VOC content inks both comply with regulations and reduce the environmental footprint. They also stated that with the green transformation, 3.49% of plastic packaging is expected to be transformed into paper-cardboard packaging by 2028, and this could create an additional 0.7 million tons of cardboard demand.
Offset Sales Director Engin Kurt and Offset Sales Manager Levent Ünal provided information about artience TPI Market Strategies and made important assessments about the ink and printing sector.
R&D Manager Müjde Özdemir also made a presentation titled "The Future of the Packaging Sector, Sustainability & artience Innovative Product Solutions". The company, which holds the title of Turkey's first ink R&D Center registered by the Ministry of Industry and Technology in July 2017, provided comprehensive information about its offset product portfolio, new products and sustainable solutions.
In the second session of the meeting; Nasıl Bir Ekonomi Newspaper Board Chairman Hakan Güldağ evaluated the effects of our country's economy on the sector with his speech titled "Reflections of the Turkish Economy on the Private Sector and the Printing-Printery Sector" and emphasized that despite the difficulties experienced in exports, there are opportunities in products that support green transformation.
The meeting was completed efficiently by providing valuable perspectives to the participants about the future of the sector and sustainable business strategies.
